Not many changes for the Escape heading into 2024; there are six trims (Active, ST-Line, ST-Line Select, ST-Line Elite, Platinum and PHEV) and power still comes from either a 1.5L turbo 4-cylinder (180 hp/199 lb-ft of torque), a 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder (250/280) as well as two hybrids: a traditional hybrid good for 163 hp and 155 lb-ft of torque, and a plug-in variant with the same power figures, but also the ability to cruise for up to 60 km on EV power alone.

New colours come in the form of Azure Grey and Desert Sand, while Alto Blue, Area 51 and Cyber Orange are all gone for 2024. The loss of the Heritage Limited model also means the deletion of Peak Blue and Yellowstone colours, and the black appearance package is now only available on the Big Bend trim.

Ford Bronco Sport

The big news when it comes to the Bronco Sport this year is the addition of the Free Wheeling model, a striped retro take on what is already a retro-inspired vehicle. In addition to the sunset-style graphics package, the Free Wheeling gets special 17-inch wheels with red inserts, matching seat inserts and contrast-colour stitching. The Free Wheeling edition takes the place of the Heritage Limited model for 2024.

New colours come in the form of Azure Grey and Desert Sand, while Alto Blue, Area 51 and Cyber Orange are all gone for 2024, while the loss of the Heritage Limited model also means the deletion of Peak Blue and Yellowstone colours, and the black appearance package is now only available on the Big Bend trim, which joins Heritage, Outer Banks and Badlands trims for 2024.

Power comes courtesy a 1.5L turbo 3-cylinder good for 181 hp and 190 lb-ft of torque, as well as a 2.0L 4-cylinder good for 250 hp and 277 lb-ft of torque.

The only change for the Edge in 2024 is the addition of a block heater on all trims (SE, SEL, ST-Line, Titanium, ST). Power for all models except the ST comes courtesy of a 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder good for 250 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque with an 8-speed auto, while the ST gets a 2.7L turbo V6 good for 335 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque.

2024 sees the deletion of the Limited Hybrid trim for the Explorer, leaving Limited, ST-Line, Timberline off-road special, ST and Platinum for 2024. Otherwise, it’s the status quo.

For 2024, buyers can no longer get their Expedition in Infinite Blue Forged Green, but Ford has added a Wild Green exterior colour choice. Also gone is the dual screen rear entertainment system, but there are two new USB-C ports for the rear seat for those wanting to charge their tablets now that the built-in displays are no longer. Like the Edge, a block heater is now available on all trims and standard satellite radio has also been added.

For 2024, the Expedition is available in 7 trims: XLT, Timberline, Limited, three-row Limited MAX, King Ranch, King Ranch Max, Platinum and Platinum Max. Power comes from a single powertrain choice: a 3.5L EcoBoost twin-turbo V6 good for 400 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque in most rims. The XLT and Limited trims are good for 380 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque, while the Stealth Performance pack bumps the power figures to 440 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque on Timberline models if so-equipped.

A 10-speed automatic and 4x4 are your only drivetrain choices.

For 2024, the 2.7 has been deleted from the Big Bend trim.

The base engine can be had with either a 7-speed manual gearbox or a 10-speed automatic (on all except the Badlands trim, which is manual-only), while the rest of the options come are available only with the auto.

New for 2024, previously optional 17-inch black high gloss wheels are now standard on the Black Diamond model, while the Badlands and Wildtrak models now get a standard heavy-duty front bumper. The Raptor now gets body-colour fender flares as standard and there’s a new Code Orange appearance package available as well. Shelter Green has also been added, while Code Orange (the colour, not the package) and Area 51 are no longer.
