Radical Canada announces 2015 Radical Canada Cup details

Radical Canada announced the details of the 2015 Radical Canada Cup (RCC) racing series. Run in conjunction with the Canadian Automobile Sports Club (CASC) and open to all Radicals, the Championship builds on the successful history of one make championships in Canada and Radical series' around the world.
"The Radical Canada Cup's second season was very successful and we've recently sold several cars that will be racing with us in 2015," says Radical Canada's President Robert Burgess. Starting May 2 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, the Championship will run seven events and finish at Le Circuit Mont Tremblant on September 27. Each race weekend will consist of practice, qualifying sessions and two or three races, as well a test day held the Friday before each event. There will be lots of track time and participants will have the option of running just one day or having two drivers compete in an event. 2014 Radical Canada Cup Champion Matt Graham will be back to defend the title in 2015 Castrol and Dunlop are returning as series sponsors with Dunlop supplying the specs tires and Castrol as the official lubricant supplier. "Dunlop has worked closely with Radical to develop a new spec tire for 2015 that offers even better performance and longevity," says Phil Lamont of Dunlop Racing North America. Championship points will be awarded based on the CASC point system, with 30 going to the winner and points being paid down to the 15th place finisher. Contingency prizes will also be awarded at each event. All participating cars must conform to the Series Rules which ensure parity amongst the cars and each driver must also have a valid racing license.
