The DAP kart that the late Ayrton Senna drove at the 1981 World Championships in Parma, Italy is going to be auctioned this week by
Bonhams in Paris.

Bonhams expects the kart, complete with engine and tires, to be sold around $30,000.
Senna’s kart, chassis No. DAP BH 33, was purchased immediately after the event from DAP boss Angelo Parilla by a fellow competitor Harm Schuurmann.

The kart was purchased without the engine; however, an identical 100cc reed valve engine as used by Senna has been installed.
The kart will be sold in 'as new' condition, having been used for a maximum of two hours since.
