Volkswagen of America has just unveiled five show vehicles for enthusiasts ahead of a summer tour of the U.S. The fleet is comprised of cars focusing on performance as well as pure style.
Volkswagen Golf 1.8T
This 2016 Golf 1.8T sports the famous Bali Green paint colour from the Mk1 Volkswagen Rabbit, in addition to 19” wheels, yellow-tinted headlights, and a black heritage stripe along the bottom of the doors. It certainly won’t go unnoticed!
Volkswagen Jetta GLI
Shown in track configuration, this Jetta GLI rides on 18” wheels. Also on display will be all the tools necessary to convert from road to track use. They all fit neatly with the rear seats folded.
Volkswagen Passat
Featuring 20” wheels and a lowered suspension, the enthusiast’s Passat is finished in Satin Ocean Shimmer and adds a body kit for a very sporty look.
Volkswagen Golf GTI
This purple-coloured GTI rides is set off with massive 20” wheels in gloss gold finish. The cargo box on the roof proves that practicality, looks, and performance can exist simultaneously in the same car.
Volkswagen Golf R
Here we have a hot hatch inspired by the famous Scirocco GT Black Edition that’s sold in the U.K. H&R Sport Springs — engineered specifically to accommodate the Golf R’s Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) — give the car a lower look without sacrificing handling.
Volkswagen’s summer enthusiast fleet will make the following stops:
- Tacoma (Washington), June 26;
- Englishtown (New Jersey), July 16-17;
- Burlington (Vermont), August 5-7;
- Fontana (California), August 13-14;
- Ocean City (Maryland), October 1-2;
- Westwego (Louisiana), October 8-9.
