Two-seaters too mini for MINI?

While the idea of a two-seater MINI seemed like a great one, it seems BMW doesn’t think so anymore. According to representatives at BMW Group Canada, as of spring 2015 the Coupe and Roadster models will cease production and no longer exist in the MINI lineup in North America after this model year.

While there was never any talk about the longevity of these two niche products (and let’s be honest they are as niche as MINIs get), if you were saving your pennies to purchase one you better hurry up and get to your local MINI dealer, ASAP.

Of course, this is no reflection on the success of MINI themselves, as the latest introduction of their revamped and redesigned MINI 3-door seems to have breathed new life into the company, as well as the brand new MINI 5-door.

Those already in possession of a MINI Coupe or Roadster; you’ve got yourself a soon-to-be collector’s edition.
