Ford has announced a recall on 204,448 Edge and Lincoln MKX crossovers from 2007-2008 due to a fire hazard.
In some cases, corrosion could form on the fuel tank braces and cause a leak. Leaking fuel, in the presence of an ignition source, may result in a fire.
So far, a single incident with no injuries has been reported.
Affected vehicles are found in 22 U.S. states, mainly in the North and Midwest regions, as well as in six Canadian provinces, from Ontario to Nova Scotia.
