According to the latest rumors, the car will be powered by the 4.0-liter flat-6 engine found in the 911 GT3 RS

Rumours about a Porsche 911 R have been floating around since January and they have intensified last week with the German sports car manufacturer announcing the introduction of the Porsche 718 Boxster and a mysterious, limited-edition model at the 2016 Geneva Auto Show.

Today, we have these pictures showing what could be a 911 R in white livery with red stripes running the length of the car, courtesy of Dutch website Vierenzestig.
The latest speculations regarding the engine involves the same 4.0L flat-6 unit as the 911 GT3 RS, paired to a manual transmission and rated at around 500 horsepower.

The Porsche 911 R is expected to retail for approximately $280,000 (€190,000) and be limited to 600 copies ― all of which are already sold out, apparently.

Come back tomorrow to get the cold, hard facts.
