The second-generation 2016 Nissan Titan made its world debut today at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. It will go on sale later this year at a price that has yet to be determined.
Powered by the new Cummins 5.0L turbodiesel V8 engine, which is rated at 310 horsepower and 555 lb-ft of torque, the 2016 Nissan Titan XD has a maximum towing capacity of more than 12,000 lbs and maximum payload of 2,000 lbs (when properly equipped).
Future engine options will include a new gasoline V8 and an advanced gasoline V6.
"The new TITAN XD is a work-place warrior, ready to haul, pull, tow and tackle whatever a job site throws at it – yet with the style and comfort for everyday use," said Fred Diaz, senior vice president, Sales & Marketing and Operations U.S., Nissan North America, Inc.
