Chrysler continues its Herculean efforts to rejuvenate its range of vehicles, presenting us with the all-new 2011 300, completely redesigned from inside out in a bid to redefine American luxury, flagship sedan-style.

While the 300 has been updated in the looks department, it has kept the same dimensions as the outgoing model. The grille has been completely renewed and now sports an avalanche of chrome complimented by the automaker’s new logo.

From the side, the sedan sports some new curves, especially around the fenders. The windshield has been raked back by three inches, and the pillars have been narrowed to improve visibility, an aspect that had been criticized in the past. Finally, the body is set off by beefy, 20-inch wheels, a must for this model.

The back end has also been remodelled, with chrome accents highlighting the LED taillamps, a spoiler emphasizing the curvier profile as well as dual exhaust pipes boasting – you guessed it – a chrome finish.

Inside, occupants will enjoy a dual-panel panoramic roof and, especially, a completely revamped cabin featuring soft-touch materials, exclusive to nearly every new Chrysler vehicle. Heated and cooled leather seats as well as wood trim on the instrument cluster, doors and centre console will also be available.

The instrument cluster has been completely redesigned and now features metallic blue LED backlighting. The two large dials, the centre console, the air vents, the door handles and several other details have been touched up with aluminum/chrome. The Uconnect navigation system with its 8.4-inch touch screen will also be available on the 300.

Finally, it seems that Chrysler took the necessary steps to offer consumers a sedan capable of competing with the offerings of the other manufacturers, one benefiting from an interesting selection of engines. The Touring and Limited versions will inherit the new Pentastar V6 and its 292 ponies, while the 300C will be powered by a HEMI V8 upping the ante (and the fuel consumption) with 363 hp.
