Imagine having so much money and so much free time that you can devote an entire week and thousands upon thousands of dollars to drive your extremely expensive vehicle down the North American east coast. While it might not be as glamorous or "extreme" as Gumball 3000, the Bullrun gives it a good run for its money -- and lots of it. With an entry fee of $17,500 USD and an invitation only attendance, the price to race is beyond the average joe. But, for those who can afford the time and the dollars, Bullrun 2007 began this past weekend in historic Old Montreal, and it was quite a site to see.

Andy Duncan, founder of the legendary Bullrun decided that this year's rally would begin in beautiful downtown Montreal. While past Bullruns have begun in the USA and never crossed the border to the North, this year Duncan decided it was time for a change. After purchasing a home in Montreal and getting to know the city, he decided it was the ideal place to begin this year's excitement-packed race.

There were supposed to be close to 100 cars participating in this year's Bullrun, however Canadian customs chose to be surprisingly strict and many of the drivers were unable to make the border jump and start with everyone in Montreal. However, there were still a plethora of vehicles from the exotic to the outlandish gathered on St. Jacques early Saturday morning to begin a week of driving and partying.

Due to the large entry fee - which covers two passengers entry, accommodations, food and party entrance for both for the entire week - the Bullrun is reserved in large to celebrities, professional drivers and the odd trust-fund baby. This year's signature celebrity participant was none other than the jail-bound Paris Hilton. For reasons unknown (though there was speculation that "crowding" would have prolonged the race start), Hilton was a no-show for the Montreal start, but recent Bullrun blogs and videos show Paris seated in a brand new Spyker waiting to meet her fellow Bullrunners - despite her imminent lockdown.

People from all walks of life participate in the North American rally, but not matter what the background, they all have one thing in common; money. And that was never more evident then when the Bullrun rides started to pile up on the cobblestone streets of Place Jacques Cartier.
