Nissan will host the Canadian debut of the all-new 2015 Murano crossover, Micra Cup race car and BladeGlider electric concept at the Montreal International Auto Show on January 15th.

First, the 2015 Nissan Murano expresses a new design direction for the brand, including its V-motion front end, LED boomerang lights, and the unique "floating" roof. Meanwhile, the interior offers an engaging social lounge feel through features such as advanced Zero Gravity front and outboard rear seating.

Standard technologies include an Intelligent Key with push-button start, NissanConnect with navigation and mobile apps, an 8” colour display with multi-touch control, and a 3.5L V6 engine rated at 260 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque. Murano is available in front-wheel drive or Intuitive all-wheel drive configuration.

As previously reported, the Nissan Micra Cup will exclusively feature the Micra's stock 1.6L 4-cylinder engine and 5-speed manual transmission -- with minor modifications (including a NISMO suspension) to make it race-ready. More than 25 Nissan Micra Cup race cars, like the one on display in Montreal, will compete on each race weekend.

Finally, the Nissan BladeGlider concept is both a proposal for the future direction of Nissan electric vehicle (EV) development and an exploratory prototype of an upcoming production vehicle. With its narrow, one-metre front track and wide, stable rear track, BladeGlider looks as if it could have sprung from a "skunk works" project. Let's not forget the 30/70 weight distribution and highly rigid yet lightweight carbon-fibre underbody which creates downforce without the use of spoilers.
