2012 Acura TSX Special Edition boasts sportier looks

Once again, Honda is bringing a new exclusive edition of the Acura TSX to the table. For 2012, the Japanese midsize sedan becomes even more youthful and sporty in character, furthering its appeal to performance-minded buyers.

Under the hood, the TSX Special Edition makes use of Acura's acclaimed 2.4-litre, 4-cylinder K24 engine, producing 201 horsepower and 170 pounds-feet of torque. With the same proven powerplant, all the attention goes to styling upgrades.

Behold the more aggressive front spoiler, new rear bumper fascia, exclusive "Special Edition" badge on the trunklid, and 17-inch, 5-spoke aluminum wheels featuring a polished finish with dark grey background.

Inside, the Special Edition includes, among other enhancements:

• perforated black Lux Suede inserts with red backing and unique red stitching;
• red lighting for the instrument cluster gauges;
• aluminum pedal covers;
• bright silver plating for the steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters;
• a black headliner (instead of the standard grey).

The 2012 Acura TSX Special Edition will go on sale in late September (U.S. market only). Our contacts at Honda Canada told us they're looking to offer a similar package, but probably not before next spring.
