Thankfully, this turns out to be a minor gripe, because the Kizashi is surprisingly fun to drive. Indeed, the driving dynamics are in the image of the body: precise, stylish and efficient. And since comfort is also part of the game, the Suzuki sedan becomes a true family car ideal for road tripping.
The suspension is well calibrated, the 6-speed manual transmission is fun and user-friendly, and the Kizashi’s general handling is flawless. In fact, even if this car offers a certain balance, it almost feels liken it was created with a more powerful, sporty model in mind. As if the manufacturer was thinking of keeping the chassis and one day producing a truly high-performance Kizashi. For the moment, however, Suzuki is unequivocal: there’s no V6 on the horizon, so as not to jeopardize the balance of the car.

But while all that can be said about the Kizashi, it’s also true of many other vehicles. In the end, it’s hard to find any real fault with the Kizashi. Just as it’s hard to find any outstanding qualities that truly set it apart.
If I had to sum it up in one sentence, I’d say the Suzuki Kizashi is good at everything – but excels at nothing. It represents a logical choice for anyone looking for an efficient family car, but like the other sedans in its class, it’s not a work of passion. Too bad, because it has some great qualities. Unfortunately, Suzuki hasn’t capitalized on them enough to make this an exceptional machine.
