Can It Get Much Better Than This?
These sports seats are perfectly padded and not too hard. The side bolsters offer just enough support and, unlike some sport seats, the back does not feel too narrow. They are manually adjustable front, back, up and down. To get power adjustments you would need to move into the optional Adaptive sports seats with memory.

Since many people will be using this car as their main driver, I love that heated seats are available as an option.

As wonderful as this interior is, and it pains me to say this, why has Porsche not come up with better cup holders? How many people will use this car everyday vs. on the track? I know I am not the only one who has put a Grande Starbucks cup in one and watched it shake and spill out the spout.

Porsche’s prevalent 3.8litre flat-6 engine with direct fuel injection and VarioCam Plus now delivers 408horsepower; that is 23 more than the 911 Carrera S. With cylinder head modifications and some revised tuning, the engine's powerband is perfect for both road and track.

I used to be disappointed when I got a beast of a car like this and it was not equipped with a manual transmission, but the PDK has impressed me from the beginning. It is able to change gears in milliseconds with absolutely no interruption to the flow of power. But if you really want to do the work yourself you can – paddle shifters behind the wheel or the gear shift in the centre console make the choice effortless.

With the optional Sport Chrono Package Plus, you get a more vigorous tuning of engine setup and chassis. Combined with the PDK (Dopplekupplungsetrieve transmission), you can launch yourself in this car from 0-100km in 4.8 seconds with the cabriolet, and 4.6 seconds in the Coupe.

My favourite thing about having the top down is being able to hear the roar of this incredible engine. Standard in the 911 Carrera GTS models is the sport exhaust system. With the push of a button located within easy reach, the sound goes from wow to W O W!

In more normal driving behavior, the sound is wholesome, but as soon as I push that button and change my driving style to a bit more sporty, the tone becomes much louder and more aggressive – love it!
