A good bet?
Well, again, I find myself brooding the Rogue, the category with its competitors and what you get for the as-tested $31,433. The aforementioned CR-V? A RAV4? A Tiguan is $3,000 more if you want AWD. A Forester? An Escape? The list goes on and on. Each has advantages and downsides that are similar in nature to the Rogue except for one, all have more distinctive features (pretty or ugly) than the Nissan.
I myself am a proponent of the RAV4 thanks to its larger trunk and cabin and overall styling. But I have no other argument as to why I or anyone should pick it over the Nissan. If ever a test drive was in order, this is it.

The compact CUV/SUV segment is presently the most competitive and hardest fought in the business. |
