This Town & Country Limited, with options, carries a $50,535 tab. That's a hefty sum, and also the point of my mixed feelings about the T&C. For this price, people are also looking for a car that they can use as a status symbol. For them, image is everything. That contradicts the fact that minivans are not cool. Also, you can get a Caravan for under $20,000, which means you can almost buy two Dodge minivans for the price of one Chrysler. This translates to a rather rare vehicle on the road, however. If you're lucky, you'll spot one once or twice a week.

I wouldn't spend 50 large on a minivan. However, this Town & Country is a nice showcase of DaimlerChrysler's features. A Dodge Grand Caravan SXT equipped with the 3.8L V6, as well as options such as power sliding doors, power liftgate and the DVD entertainment system, sells for about $39,000. That's a much better value, in my opinion.

After all these years, the Town & Country is still a decent performer. Toyota and Honda, beware; you might have slightly better minivans for now, but a new DaimlerChrysler minivan is just around the corner.

What I like:
Stow 'n Go is great
Smooth highway cruiser
Long list of features

What I don't like:
Way too expensive
Useless navigation system
Noisy power sliding doors and liftgate
