The 2011 Hyundai Sonata may have a problem with the steering, which led the company to recall 173,000 units in the U.S (13 137 in Canada), Automotive News reports based on a press release by the NHTSA.
Certain 2011 Hyundai Sonatas built from December 2009 to late October 2010 may suffer from damaged circuits that could result in a steering malfunction. No related accident or injury has been reported so far, the NHTSA said.
An abnormally high number of warranty claims due to lost power steering triggered a company investigation.
